starview the box channels gone dublin

a friend of mine has a dreambox and he got it fixed 4 40euro cant fix starview1 dont no about any other boxes
 
Forty euro seems a bit expensive to me, all anyone needs is a null modem cable and a pc, they can download all the files they need for free.

And there's lots of help available for beginners. Again, for free.
 
very expensive all you need to fix it is as eva says a null modem cable 5 euro and all the files and help you need is here
 
At the moment the boxes that can be fixed in Ireland on ntl cable are:

Starview 4 usb
Kryptview arnet
Itgates
Dreambox and DBox
Ipbox
Digivox usb

Some of these fixes only came on stream in the last couple of weeks, and hopefully more will follow.
 
Well just don't forget there is no guarantee of any of these boxes working for any length of time. Nobody knows when everything will convert to n3, these boxes are currently working on the n2 stream, and will most likely not work on n3.
 
jc I've had the dreambox running for the last few weeks here in Bray ya header!
The fix had been on here for while man. Someones ripping him off! Charging him 40squidoodles to ftp 3 files over!
