Storm Barra ‘is coming in like a freight train’ as 130km/h winds, rain, hail and snow all expected​

  • Winds exceeding 130km/h, heavy rain, flooding all expected
  • Also a risk of hail, sleet and snow
  • Wind warning for counties Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Galway updated to a Status Orange alert which will remain in place for 24 hours from 6am on Tuesday
  • Homes and businesses warned to secure outdoor Christmas decorations and furniture
  • Forecaster on storm’s progression: ‘It’s quite volatile’

Lovin the name,
There's a bloke on TV (I think he's actually a weatherman) in Norn Iron called Barra 🤣 🤣🤣
 
Our local weatherman is Owain

If a storm was named after him it would be a puff of lukewarm air
 
I have to venture out to get my booster jab and depends if i drive on 4 wheels or 2, should i bring a chainsaw i dont own? 🤣 🤣
