Strange recording issue

If I record a channel (e.g BBC 1) I can go to the InfoBar and see the red recording icon flashing on BBC 1
If I then scroll down to BBC 2 I see the recording icon flashing on there as well. Same with all the other channels.
Although only recording one channel, it seems as though all the channels are being recorded.
They don't show as being recorded on the EPG, just the InfoBar for each individual channel.

It doesn't matter which channel you are recording, it shows on all channels.

I can't imagine a bug like this would not have been fixed before now......so I'm assuming it's something I've done....or not done.

It was doing this on Wooshman's build so I swapped to Sucmnsee's build but it's the same.

Please help.....what am I doing wrong ? :anyonethere:

So you are telling me it's o.k. to have a recording icon flashing red on the InfoBar of a channel that is NOT being recorded ?

Surely the icon is there to indicate IF the channel is being recorded or not ( GREY if it's not ........ RED if it is. )

Or am I missing something here ?

It's just informing you that a channel is being recorded. So yes it's okay.

I hear what you're saying.....but surely it should only flash on the channel that is being recorded, not all of them.

That's how Sky and Virgin and Freesat work.

Just enjoy your cheap TV and don't worry yourself about it. It's all good.

But it's not a problem. That's what it's suppose to do.

Are you telling me Sky, Virgin and Freesat are doing it wrong and this is the correct way to do it ?

I'm afraid I don't see your reasoning....................either you don't understand what I'm saying, or I don't understand you.

This is how these boxes do it. The developers don't have millions of pounds like the rest of them. It's a small problem in a cheap situation. Deal with it or you could go give the ones doing it right a monthly fee and have the features.

Seriously what do you expect from a receiver that costs £70??

These boxes are not sky boxes and they are running an old software, there is only so much they can do
the software is open and free, people put in time to do there best for free

yu can remove the icon of you want then you won't see it at all

I thought this was a forum to promote the boxes and resolve issues.
Obviously I was wrong.
The cost of the box is not relevant in this discussion.
You could just have said we know it's wrong but it's a bug that can't be easily fixed.
But, no, you would sooner patronize me with your "superior" comments.

Well, don't worry....I won't ask any more questions.........................

Nobody is patronising you at all and your making an issue out of a none issue. Everyone has done their upmost to explain to you why the software/box displays the icon the way it does. But unfortunately that's not good enough for you.
