Stuttering/Freezing on certain channels

Hi guys,

I'm very new to this so it's all a bit overwhelming to be honest, although i am fairly technically minded with stuff usually.

I've recently bought a Zgemma H2S from someone i know on Facebook, he's not being overly helpful with figuring my issue out.

I'm running S*y signal with a wired 30mb/s connection directly to my router. I know it's not the connection dropping because i also stream from a sports add on on kodi and that never ever stutters.

Their are certain channels that work perfectly or stutter or freeze very rarely, movie channels for instance do this - so not just freeview. However i notice S*ySports and that whole section seem to have issues quite a lot.

I've been reading through some threads and i've updated as much as i think i can, pushing the 'OK' button twice shows my ECM as 0.130 to around 0.200 at times, when it did freeze once i checked as quick as i could while it was still frozen and it was on 0.066 - i've no idea what this means anyway so could someone just let me know that too? What does it mean?

Also, because i bought the box as a whole from this guy i don't know who my supplier or server (don't know what to refer to them as?) are, is there any way i can find this out? Pushing 'OK' twice does bring up a server as EDITED - does that mean anything?

Is there any tests you guys can recommend to figure out my problem, or what my first port of call should be?

Ah, right - they weren't blue immediately.

I don't think they're messing about with my line because i'm streaming through the same router with kodi right now and thats been perfect - also online gaming a little bit with no issues at all.
 
Nothing to do with kodi or ur online gaming. Its, from what i understand, something that sky are updating at their end and its affecting all lines no matter what server ur provider uses.
 
Ah right, i get it now.

I've had the box for around 3 weeks and it's been like it quite a lot - is this normal?

I'm fine with it for normal TV viewing, during matches or F1 it can get a bit annoying - but it's really annoying my mrs who isn't sold on the whole idea anyway...she never paid the Sky bill though!

This sentence makes it sound like you bough it from outside this site?
Usually when that happens the line is a little crap. (Meaning glitcing ) Best thing to do is check the forum out have a good read about and you can always get a test line to see if it fixes your glitch problems.

Yeah it was someone on Facebook from a related group i'm already in.

I'll have a look, is it simple enough to install a new line?
 
Do you know weather it's on openatv or openvix?
Menu, information, about

Have you ever restarted the cam ie cccam or mgcamd

Your going to need to ftp to change the line details

Download filezilla client version
On your Box Menu > Info> Network > Get your box IP address
Open up Filezilla Host (top left ) Type in IP address Username root Leave others blank Press Quickconnect
Box should then connect to computer Left side computer, Right hand box

newcamd.list is for mgcamd (nline)
newcamd.list will be in usr/keys on both vix and openatv

CCcam.cfg is for cccam (cline)
CCcam.cfg in etc on vix and usr/keys on openatv.

hi mate i had the same problems and you should check your sat feed connections and make sure they are good
and secure connections to the lnb 1 and lnb 2 as my lnb 1 connection was a little loose and was causing the glitching on the channels every few minutes sorted now and no glitching now at all which is great, hope this helps you out as i had the problem for 3 days before i copped the problem

For now please refrain from taking any tests as sky uk servers are having a sort of problems that make the channels freeze also you should ask the guy who sold you the box for your supplier's email because even suppliers don't know each other's servers
