sweet and sour sauce

combine sugar,water and vinegar in a saucepan over a low to medium heat,heat until sugar dissolves. Whisk in the ketchup, and then the cornflour mixed with the cold water.bring to a simmer until thickened. Add pineapple tidbits, if desired.

2-3 cups of water
1 cup of sugar
1/3 cup of white wine vinegar
1/3 cup of ketchup
2 tbsp of cornstartch (flour)
cold water.

This actually looks like something I could make. I'm thinking chicken w/sweet&sour sauce in the crock pot, yum.
