Technical help

I currently have a openbox v8s, and before that a kryptview a780 however am looking to move to a h2h and use my cable feed again. I currently have vermin bb and did have tv with them about 10 years ago. The bb feed coming into the house is upstairs and the TV feed coming into the house is downstairs. Now a few years back a vermin engineer said there was quite alot of distortion coming from the TV feed as it was no longer being used so had to come in and do something. Not sure if they disconnected the TV line or made it so it is not live. The questions I have are
1. Is the TV feed still live and will it work if I connected a h2h to it
2. If the above doesn't work should I moved my router downstairs, connect it to the old tv feed and tell vermin to make the feed live again, then use a splitter to connect to the h2h
Of course I know I need to do the necessary ie get a line and flash.
Your help will be very much appreciated.
Thank you

If you have BB from vermin, then you have an active line to run a box m8, and yes, is would be easier to have the router downstairs behind your tv...

Will the feed that used to be for the TV be able to connect to the router.
Also do u think the feed that's there for the TV can be used to connect to the h2h box. I might connect my old kryptview and see if the feed is still live

Thanks. I do have a ether net cable running downstairs towards the TV hence why I'm thinking the old cable TV feed might work
