Technomate have launched a new series of linux based recievers to compete with the dream 500 and 600 models, the recievers seem to have been set at a deliberatley low price of around £90 for the 500 and around £120 for the 600 PVR version to knock Dream Multimedia from their dominant position in the linux based reciever market. Recievers also come with USB ports for ease of upgrade and I'm off to order mine now ;)

I haven't got a clue on that side of things, thanks anyway port. :)

So what exactly do you need to get up and running with one of these over here then?

as port says,, technomate usually on deal with satellite boxes,, leaving the cable tuners and terrestrial tuners to itgate.

being in 'our family' , if it ever did have a cable tuner , with UR team involved yes we would support it :P

Is there much open on these? I have been reading that the majority of packages are now gone? Is this right?

I have just obtained a new Technomate 500/600 Linux, new dish motorised and cant get most of the channels.
I need a loader and a latest patch. Can you guide me to obtain them please.
