Telnet error when connecting in DCC

Hi guys

I am trying to update a friends Zgemma I believe it is a H2S with a new host name.
I am using Dreambox Control Center but it won't connect, keeps showing telnet error.
I have changed the port to 21, checked all cables, router and been through countless tutorials but still it won't connect.
I have also used filezilla without any success.
I don't understand what the issue is as I have updated mine ok, the only difference is that I bought my box and line separate he bought his both together.
I know you guys are the best at solving these problems so I have come here for help.

Yes have all green bars it connects then drops the telnet out and gives the socket error

looks like a password issue, try, root

Also you need to tick, Harddisc checkbox

I am wondering if the person who he purchased if off has changed it, as it comes up as an xbox

Do you mean it shows up on your network as xbox, instead of ZGEMMA?

yes thats how it shows up, he doesn't own an xbox lol

So is it really connected to a network? or is there a serious malware infection?

I have my pc the home hub and kids laptop on my network nothing else.

it also shows the Error 10057 in function Send Socket is not connected message

As I stated earlier, use the Dreambox search button to get an IP address for the box

I have plugged mine back in to check that the dcc is right and it can connect to my box just fine
