The IPTV Crackdown Continues: A Thread For Customers Not Resellers

If they need too they know exactly who that Bitcoin came from and it’s always traceable back to the source.

Yes normally it gets mixed

The only thing they can see you have bought crypto sent it to a wallet which would be a hard wallet normally. Yes tracing bitcoin can be done but a lot of work and probably a lot safer than bank transfer

I have serious reservations of using this Crypto method to purchase my subs. But ot looks like am going to have to try and figure out how to do it. Out oif the 3 best subs I have access to , 2 have gone crypto only . I spent some time last night looking at the 2 links I have been sent with instructions. But It looks a toal faff on and am not happy about using my CC/DC deatails in the transaction.
No1 link , describes using Revolut , binned that onbe after reading the Irish cease and desist letters thing posted a couple of weeks ago.
No2 limk , is all about Moonpay , which frankly is way too complicated.

Some you can use google and apple pay and debit card. Or bank transfer its shouldn't be hard buy crypto send to wallett your supplier asks you to

Same here, just been informed by my supplier that renewals are by crypto/bitcoin only, shame because it was a great service. Could probably figure it out eventually, but I don't trust it, will have to look around I suppose.

Why don't you trust it? Its probably safer than PayPal or bank transfers if you look at it like this its a bit like changing you pounds to euros

Ive looked long and hard at a couple guides on how to use it and I can’t get my head around em. Asked my son who is a successful business man and he wouldn’t touch crypto. I then asked my eldest grandson he is at an elite uni and will be moving into the finance sector when he graduates. He had same opinion .Duh , I was hoping one of em would set it up for me.

You don't need to set anything up really unless you use something like coinbase can be a pain. It will depend how much you like those suppliers. Other suppliers are taking other payment methods and charging higher prices. And some will still use PP if they trust you.

It is like changing pounds to Euro or dollars.
If you want to take 500 dollars to America or 500 euros to Spain, you go to the post office and buy the currency and away you go.
With bitcoin, if your provider wants £60, you buy £60 worth of bitcoin and send it to him.

That's it until next year.

It's no different to using PayPal or bank transfer, with those, just like crypto, you dont physically touch the cash, its just numbers on a screen

Other payment methods does not necessarily equate to higher prices afaik, thats like saying I will have to charge more in case I get arrested.
Charging more for subs wont help if you get nicked will it?

You could use Claude or ChatGPT or DeepSeek or whatever, ask it to treat you as a complete novice in the subject and talk you through it one step at a time, explaining any costs/fees and things to be aware of along the way, from buying bitcoin to sending it to someones wallet.

Just an idea.

I ran the process my provider sent me ( moonpay ) thru ChatGPT and it advised me against using it 😳

Should be simple then follow the prompts and send to wallet advised
