Cable Timer problems.

I've tried setting a few timers on my h1, 1 to zap to pvr_epg channel to grab epg data at 5am and then another to zap to itv for 6am. Also had an auto timer for emmerdale for the gf, everytime a timer is about to kick in the box freezes, stay on the same channel with the loading circle in the top left. Time on the box freezes also and powering down is needed. Any one help me out what's going wrong ?

Edit: you will get recording issues if the read/write speed of your storage device isn't suitable.


I can recommend a (I'm using both)
sandisk extreme 32GB USB 3.0 flash drive £17. (Has great write speeds)

Or if you need more recording space
A Toshiba 500GB canvio basics USB 3.0 2.5" portable hard drive. £33

I have a western digital 2.5" 1tb usb 3 drive attached. Going to have a play now and see if itv works while I'm sat here.

Still having problems, is there a new version of sucmnsees backup? Lasted one I have is from 2/12/15. I cat access the downloads section yet either.
 
Managed to sort my problems, seems to crash the box if I set timer to zap to pvr_epg channel, changed it to zap to virgin preview channel at 5am to grab epg data, and then 20 mins later sky epg data downloads from satellite.
