Timeshift plugins?

Thanks to the useful information on this forum, I have my Ibox 2 Plus up and running with Vix Apollo, and Picons. What does bother me is the timeshift function. I'm currently using a USB as my storage. When I hit pause, a strange looking box pops up. Sometimes the rewind works. Sometimes the pause doesn't work. Are there any plugins that would improve things? Would using a HDD make it better?

Now you've got me. How do you mean tuner?
As a side question: Last night my box started freezing when changing channels. I tried to reflash the image I used last week, but whatever I do, the box refuses to flash from the USB and just boots as normal. I've reformatted the USB, tried different images but it refuses to flash. Is there something I could try?

I updated to the latest vix image yesterday and my tuner settings changed for some reason and timeshift was a bit funny so I checked tuner settings >menu>setup>service searching>tuner configuration. I changed mine to advanced and timeshift ran alot more stable. I wanna point out mines not a cloud ibox but just thought it might cure your problem, as for your re flashing problem try another usb flash drive!
 
I use to think a faster hdd would work better but I only use a 32gb pen drive thing and it's floorless for recording/timeshift.
