TP LINK USB adapter 5GHz OpenBox V8s

Hi peeps,

I have been told that the TP-LINK AC450 Wireless Nano USB Adapter (Model No. Archer T1U) is suitable for an OpenBox. However, it comes with a driver disc and only makes mention of a PC or MAC!

I chose this adapter to give me a 5GHz connection and would really appreciate any guidance here.

Thanx in anticipation

What guidance do you want if you've been told it's suitable?

Or, are you needing confirmation that it actually works?

my twopenneth would be why you'd want to spend 3 X the price on a wifi adapter when a cheap one for less than a fiver works just as well ?

I wanted a 5GHz adapter and the TP-LINK seemed to fit the bill. Can't work out if I'm missing something when I plug it in, as the V8s doesn't seem to see it!

In this case it's NOT suitable and I'd refer back to whoever told you it was.

Wifi adapters are awkward for Openboxes as you can't load drivers. You've really got to choose ones that are proven will work.
