Transferring ext hardirve from lx2 to h2s query

Hi

ive took the external hard drive from my lx2 and connected to my h2s....all the previous recordings,movies,etc are still on the external hardrive and I have been able to access them via the h2s...the problem is that the new timers and auto timers I've set on the h2s keep failing...is this because I have not "initialised" the ext hardirve with the h2s??

i was about to intialise the ext hardirve but a message popped up and said "do you really want to intialise the device? All data on disk will be lost"

would there be a way of keeping the stuff on the ext hardirve and intialise it so new timer/autotimers can be recorded successfully? I really don't want get the laptop out and save the ext hardrive stuff to the laptop as it just over heats and shuts down! But if I really have to intialise it and lose the stuff on the ext hardrive i will!

Tried initialising but got the following error message.

No its because you need to transfer the autotimer and timer xml files as well for the recordings to work
