transit connect central locking

hi i have just bought a transit connect on a 2005 the key fob was brocken when ibought it i have got a new one but the locks wont go into cycle mode after the 8 turns the central locking is working on the van any ideas thanx

yes m8 ive had transits before never had any trouble doing them just this poxy thing haveing none of it :(
