Looking for recommendations for a new tv, currently using a 10 year old panasonic viera hasnt missed a beat until the last few months. Wont switch on for a day or 2 but now its dead.
Budget is up to 500. Looking something 55 - 60inch.
Haven't a clue about oled, qled an all that.

All help appreciated.

OLED at 55inch is out of bounds in your price range really.

QLED youll be fine, id be looking at Samsung or Hisence models

I had Panasonic for years But it stopped working after 5 years stuck on the Panasonic logo on the screen when it starting so i went to Sony in my opinion a far better tv.There is a large range of Led tvs available for that price Samsung Lg Panasonic so a personal choice really The Samsung 55 inch UE55CU7100KXXU looks good value for the money hope this helps

May I ask what happened with the Panasonic ? I have the same or a similar one in my basement and it’s been solid, knock on wood.

Anyway I would definitely recommend checking Hisense out as everyone’s been mentioning . My parents own an older QLED 65 inch from Hisense and I believe it was around 600CAD from Costco. It’s a great TV !

TCL is good too, however their prices have skyrocketed since I bought mine. Not worth it
