Anyone care to explain

2 box's

a clone Solo2 and a Unibox Eco

On the Solo2 when plugged into satellite feed - get a signal
On the Unibox when plugged into satellite feed - no signal

using same satellite feed - get signal on one box and not the other

obviously tuner different, running same image on both boxs

anyone seen this before

Dont no much about that box mate but is it set to 28.2
Menu
Setup
Service searching
Tunner configuration

As said i dont no to much about that box so settings maybe diffrent.

Are you using the same feed but split into two with a splitter
Sat boxes each need there own feed from LNB on your dish

gets more odd now, took the Unibox over to my brtohers house and plugged it into his satellite feed and get a signal

Try your other box. And make sure the wire in the middle of the cable hasn't kinked - happened to me when I first swapped my first box out and I hadn't realised.

will have a look .. odd thing is the same cable plugged into the solo2 gets a signal

I have done further investigation and worked out the issue is with the lnb itself - As the dish/lnb is very old it doesnt support DVB-S2 - When I go into satfinder it doesnt lock to any frequency on the DVB-S2 , but if I select DVB-S it successfully locks to a frequency.

Still confused as to why the Solo2 was able to lock to a frequency with the DVB-S2 tuner, can only think the Unibox tuner doesnt like old LNB's
