hi all am looking at upgrading to a octa core android box, I have a quad core with 1 meg of ram, But its slow sometimes using stb emaultor, What is the opinion on a octa core box, without going to much over budget ty

Both boxes work great - stbemu, kodi, Netflix and the rest. I think the H96 has a slight edge on speed but there is very little in it.
Just a word of warning I have bought these boxes and other items from Geekbuying (China) without any problem as have my mates. However I realise there may be a risk with HMC&E but sofar so good! and its a big saving.
