Using two lines - How do I configure the Newcamd.list file?

Hi,

I have a Zgemma Star 2 S using Whooshbuild 3.

I have tried to find out how to do this but I can't make sense of the info I have found, so please be gentle...

I have two lines, each from a different supplier, and I want to install them both so I can select which line to use. As far as I can understand I need to edit the newcamd.list file to include both the lines before installing.

My problem is that I don't know what the finished newcamd.list should look like?

The two lines I have are in the following format:

line 1:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 300
CWS_INCOMING_PORT = 21000
CWS = ***.**** 27772 u2467 jnrxn 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

Line 2:

CWS_KEEPALIVE = 60
CWS = *******.****.net 56550 ********-6013 3865215 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

Can anyone show me the correct way to combine these two lines into one newcamd.list file, ready to copy to my Zgemma?

Many thanks (in advance)

C J

CWS = ***.**** 27772 u2467 jnrxn 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS = *******.****.net 56550 ********-6013 3865215 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

Put that just like above straight into newcamd.list and save to your box.

The box will then use the fastest line for the channel you are on.

TO be clear with your line details, it is split into sections:

CWS = server.addy.net PORT username password
01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14

So I don't even need the KEEPALIVE and INCOMING PORT lines then?

D'oh! :willy nilly: Why does everything so simple look so complicated through my eyes!!

Thanks Wooshman, will try this tonight

Nope, when you add a second line to the file you only need the line details.

This is how mine looks below and switches back and forth always using the fastest lines

CWS = server1.com 19000 myusername mypassword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS = server2.online 26000 myusername mypassword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14
CWS = server3.net 06728 myusername mypassword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

UPDATE:

Added the two lines to my box last night, just as Wooshman advised - Working prefectly! If there is any problem with the first line the box automatically switches to the second line and vise-versa.

Thanks for the help

Does anyone know how to do this when one Line is an N line using Newcamd.list and a C line use CCcam.cfg?

I have both files on the box. Cam1 is set to CCcam and Cam2 is set to mgcamd. Just wondering if this is the correct way to do it and will this auto switch to the best line?

I've got an lx2 on vix 4 and have recently started using 2 n lines in mgcamd.

what I would like to know is there a away via the box to keep an eye on to see which line is currently being used? It just having 2 lines recently I have noticed some freezing/glitching moments which I thought won't happen as 1 line is from a tk vet who recommended and the other I have managed to find somewhere else that offers a control panel facility. Both servers were tested prior to buying and seemed good enough to purchase.

Nope, when you add a second line to the file you only need the line details.

CWS = server3.net 06728 myusername mypassword 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 lan server1

ive tried entering my mgcamd using this same method but whatever order i put my lines, my top line seems to be the only one being used,
i dont see any switching going on to whichever is the fastest
both my lines work well though with little or no freezing , does one need to start freezing for it to switch or should it switch just depending on the fastest connection

if i enter them in the opposite order it uses the first one which was previously the last one, never seems to switch.
so it doesnt seem to matter which line is best it only seems to recognize the top line in the list

Having kept a watchful eye on mine for a while it appears that the line only changes when the one its using freezes - Interesting to see the ping times of different servers too (I'm not sure but I think that last statement fully qualifies me for entry to 'Sad Git of the Year' contest lol)

How do i input gift 3 line into 1 .cfg file to make it work ?

C: giftline.com 11000 user pass
C: giftline.net 11000 user pass
C: giftline.eu 11000 user pass

Not working that way for me.
