Very Puzzled and Need Help with NEWCAMD and Skybox F5

Hi,

Can anyone help...Got a skybox F5, upgraded firmware / channel lists. Had dish aligned, did single channel scan and got loads of channels FTA a lot of foreign ones. Got a Newcamd line entered all details as per their instructions, got DHCP lease to router. Still getting scrambled channels and I have checked and double checked all NEWCAMD settings to make sure they are correct. I am at a loss what it could be. They said to enter newcamd settings on F5 in network local settings, Camds setup, then MGCamd Plug Setup, which I have done exactly as they said in email. If anyone has had similar problems and has any suggestions would be great to hear from you.

hi m8 try going to cccam them cccam config and enter it there as a newcamd and when added exit out reboot ur box
 
Yes and in server and user / pass they are all lower case no capitals !

Hi maza,

I have tried that too and it says online when rebooted, it runs on port 22222, I read somewhere that on internal (DHCP) Ip's you may need to forward port, so done that on router just in case !
 
Got FTA channels on all foreign sats come up but looks like all SKY channels are coming up scrambled and signal strength etc is good !

Did you enter line with usb or manually?
 
don't need to be using newcam??? you just need the CCcam.cfg file stick it on a usb pen drive stick it in ya box go to menu network local settings type 6666 on remote you will then see camds setup open it then you will see CCcam client setup open that goto update files by usb open that and you will see a list highlight number 1 that should be CCcam.cfg (CCcam Plug) and hit the green button on remote to add it and that's it all done reboot box. and you will need to use the latest channel list just drop the abs file on usb stick menu tool upgrade by usb yo should then see image file abs go down to keeping dbs and settings and turn it to off then hit start reboot and every thing should be up and running just fine m8 hope this helps

When you say "a lot of foreign ones", which channels do you mean? Can you give us an example?

Are you sure it's aligned to 28.2e & not 19.2e ?

Are you getting ITV, CH4, CH5 FTA?
