Viark VIARK TYPE BOXES

Yes, sounds about right. Depending on his location you may need to adjust the motor co-ords. I assume he has a motorised setup.
Oh yes i already did all that when i took my viark to his place when the sat dish and motor was installed.
Figured out the coordinates etc.
I just need to set up his from scratch with his new box.

OK kool hopefully its nice and quick.

Thanks again

Hey Peeps

Ok so i set up my cousins viark 4K. All went well.
He has one of those feature walls where everything is completely concealed. He purchased the

Amazon.co.uk

Amazon.co.uk

He wants to hide the viark completelt behind his wall but still be able to control the receiver using the IR blaster. I remember on the forums someone said this was compatible.
We tried plugging at the back of the USB but it was not working.
Where do you stick the smaller part of the thing on the box? If someone can show me a diagram of where to stick this i can let him know.

There is already a picture on the Amazon link if you scroll through them.

I also have the same setup for my box.

The USB needs to be plugged into a wall outlet and not the TV.

The small IR sensor goes on the front of the box, and the larger one needs to be visible as this is the one that receives the signal from the remote.

Can i use the USB power from the VIAKR itself?

You can try it, but when I tried to power it from either my TV or the box (I can't remember which as it was so long also!) it didn't work as there wasn't enough power or something, so I used an old Apple phone charger and it worked straight away.

Yes, I have an IR blaster to control my VIARK that's hidden behind my TV. The USB is plugged into a port on my extension lead, not tried it on the Viark as I regularly put a USB drive in there.

If you have a combo it will be easy.
Thanks @manic01 and @Ferret. ....

So yes, I bought myself a brand new GTmedia GT combo 4k for Xmas.

I thought it might do what the Viark does and once you install the special firmware give you 2/3 yrs sub. However,
it sounds like reading between the lines of what both of you are saying is that even after installing the special mars
stuff, I still then need to source and pay for a VIP sub, before pointing my dish at 7W/8W and trying the scanning trick?

No subs come with any GTMedia device.

So yes google a VIP source subscription.

Obviously it's only worth doing this if you can receive the bein channels on 7w/8w, yes I was able to get a vip service, you just give them the box serial number like with other boxes.
