It shouldn't be but it was.i really don't understand it.
I will in future download to usb as having a backup is a good idea .
Theres definitely something strange about this update as the ota firmware worked ok but not the usb version which is the same.
I will test it few days see how it is.
I can always knock it back one if theres problems.it seems ok up to now.

Ive never seen the different skin but your not the first to mention it, should of taken a pic of it. I'm thinking out loud here but this latest firmware could of originally been for another manufacturers box.

Wont be long before 1.29 starts to loose channels.

The skin as you call it was the CHMAX set to on before a channel list was loaded.
 
Hi, I've fired up my Viark 4K, and I'm in the process of aligning an 80cm dish. Looking in the server settings, it's saying that it's disconnected. I should have access to Sept 28. Is this normal? Thanks.

Reboot your router and Viark as a first step mate !
 
Hi,

To double down on what others including Ferret/Manic have said. For any users having issues with the latest version, do a further factory reset and it should sort out the image issues and skin.

If it asks for a password to access any menu options it's listed above in a few of the posts..

Never asked for a pass in my case either.

Get stranger this, i do meticulously factory reset after flashing a USB version firmware.

I never use the online option even the download to USB option, i dont see how that would effect anything though.

I did the usual procedure apart from this time I downloaded sw to usb from the stb rather than use the sw from here on a usb.
It asked me for pass as well.
 
Downloaded the latest sw 1.3 on my Viark 4K Sat today and all is working same as it was before. Downloaded straight from the box but remember to backup your channel list first then factory reset. Download, factory reset again then upload your channel list. No issues for me lads
