Virgin Media TV/phone deals advice please.

Hello.

My partner has sky TV sports, movies and multi room.

The price was £58 but now they want nearly £100. She done the cancel part but no good offers so cancelled and went off last week.

No offers so far so she was thinking about Virgin for the sort of same setup.

We have Vodafone for internet and phone for £35 pm which has 4 months to go B4 min term ends.

What I want to know is there any websites that offer deals like account credit or cashback that we can go to to get a deal. I have looked at top cashback but that seems to be for just fibre connection and if we took out TV as well would that decline the fibre cashback?

I have iptv but she doesn't want that.

I AM NOT AFTER A REFERRAL CODE

£58 pounds for that package is amazing, be hard to beat that. You would think with more providers available, there would be some to compete with that price. Be interesting to see results. Good Luck 🤞

£67 p/m with Sky via Uswitch and includes Broadband (assuming 'Whole Home' is multiroom...........) 24 month contract.

I've only had a quick look but would suggest reading the finer details, etc..................

Thanks Prim@l .

I should of said sky Q, cinema, movies, hd, sports hd and 1 multi room box.

She wasn't offered a good deal to recontract and was thinking of Virgin media.

I did a quote on sky but what she has would cost £80 but for stream and not Q. Stream doesn't record and has a few less channel's which she watches but it's an option.

She has a pal who has stream and tried it one night when she was babysitting but never liked it.

I am not sure if Virgin do the same thing or have a recording box.

Thanks again

It was £53.50 but went up in April.

I think Sky are getting people to switch over to Glass or stream.

I think new customers are only offered a streaming box (i.e. no recording..)

Looking into it more it looks like that. Not sure if she likes that setup.

Our area is only HFC which is not full fibre.

Somebody I know said you can get the V6 box(or what is called) because of HFC but extra box(multi room) has to be hard wired which is not easy in our house.

I will keep looking at options.

I believe that is correct -- I did read on the VM community forum that you can pay extra if you want a 360 box (thats the latest box) instead of a streaming box

I have looked on Top cashback and Quidco but the only do "Fibre Only" cashback and I tried emailing and chatting to both and not sure of the results because they said I would get paid for fibre but if I took out anything else then I may get cashback or not.

It looks like she may have to go stream with Virgin if she wants 2 or 3 boxes as the 360 box needs coax I believe and the installation of cables would be a nightmare.

As far as ime aware, only one will work. Seen them advertised on fb market for £10. But never heard of anybody, having 2 set up at the same address. They need to be activated by vm for them to work
Like most of there stuff. Would be intrigued, if there was a way. Good luck

They use those stream boxes for free channels, they also use them now for multi room. They still need authorising.

So if she gets Virgin media TV and adds 2 multi room stream boxes and pays extra per month she can only have 1 to use even though she pays extra?
No mate it seem like, they are now doing mutiroom, so all good. You just can't add 3rd party stream boxes sourced from elsewhere, as the would need activating by vm. Shame 😢
