Virgin Router

Hi,
I’m having trouble connecting to Virgin 3.0 router onto zgemma. Any ideas what is causing the issue?
Nothing wrong with internet on other devices

HI,

Basics, have you tried different cable from Box to router?
Are you using DHCP/Static IP?
Can you describe more the symptoms?

Not getting IP, not getting EPG, VPN not working etc. etc.
 
Thanks for the quick replies.

It won’t gather an IP address when trying to join the network and therefore red link light. The box is up to date and works on a sky network but not on virgin. I have tried Ethernet and wireless dongle. It tried to use DHCP

Reaper, have you seen this before with virgin routers and is this an easy thing to fix?

When the SH3 appeared it was found to have a dodgy chipset [google it] and many of us with sat boxes found they would not connect but would connect to the older SH2. Out came all the guys with their suggestions but nothing worked.
Someone [not sure who] on this site came up with the idea of switching the hub to modem mode and adding a freestanding router, this worked for many of us but not all as we all use different boxes etc.
Worth a try.
