Vodafone throttling

Hi, they started to throttle my broadband from 9.30pm. I was told by someone to change the DNS to a specific number. This seemed to work briefly, but now it is still bad. Is there any other settings that may need changing? I can't bare trying to get through to customer service, it is absolutely painful and reading on some forums, it seems they fob you off.

Vodaphone are notorious for throttling, log as many complaints as possible and if your speed falls below their guaranteed minimum request a termination of contract.

Ok, so a bit more investigating. With ipvanish on I'm only getting 5mb download on WiFi with around 80ms ping. When VPN off I get about 20 & 40. Downstairs on ethernet via VPN I get 6 & 35, off I get 40 & 35. Vodafone are throttling at random times. Yesterday was fine until 9.30pm. 2 questions why is my VPN slow? Using my android phone on the same server my speeds were good. Also I believe a VPN will not stop throttling if it is happening at random times? Btw no problems this morning

I've been below their min guarantee since I switched and they are applying the discount. Prior to yesterday, I had an identical issue

Right, have another problem. It gets stranger by the hour. I have a multi room line (3x), but since last night, if i have 2x zgemmas on, one disconnects. If I then put my android device on, the other zgemma disconnects, but If I then change the channel on the android the zgemma stays on. If I then go to change channel on that Zegemma, the first one goes off. The android device doesn't seem to get affected. Baffled!!

2x android and 1x zgemma is fine, also

If you are only achieving speeds of 5mbps with a vpn running one subscription will be a task neve mind a x3 multi sub.

The VPN was only running one device at a time. Don't get why of get over 20mb on my android, though. The boxes disconnecting are nothing to do with the VPN, either
