Hi, does anyone have issues with IPTV using them? i have been with them 8 weeks and only had the issue this week. Which VPN will get around this? Ideally are there providers that can get round their blocks without myself having to use a VPN?

When plusnet were throttling my speed I did a live chat and discussed it only happening at peak times, when I was trying to watch a legitimate Sky Go football match. They denied throttling but it coincidentally never happened again after that.

Given that there were matches on Prime that you could have been legitimately viewing the last couple of nights it might be worth contacting them and trying the same approach.

Also, you could take a couple of tests from different iptv providers to rule out provider issues.

A vpn won't help if struggling with speeds on Vodafone as vpn will reduce even more if your provider is getting blocked when football is on a vpn would work most providers have things implemented for if ever there's a block they've had 3 seasons to get things in place

it's not a speed issue. Download was over 40mbps, signal strength was good too. All channels were playing but glitching. After 10pm it was fine. Streams were working on e2istream and youtube via the zgemma box

Could be a server overload and needs to get his load balancing sorted mate as could be too much demand on server for football was it all channels or just the football channels mate

But if had a test and same could be to do with Vodafone its self have you turned all safeguarding ect off

Try turning content control off on your Vodafone router

yes, they guarantee, and i'm just under their min. Like i've mentioned, speeds and connectivity have been good. Has only been an issue that last 2 nights, so won't expect any issues now until Sat 12pm

It's not my provider, works fine on 4G connection. My brother in law with same provide and he has no problems (using vm bb)

Are you in N.I by any chance a 2 of my mates have been having same issue past 2 nights but with BT i'm same provider and was perfection and i use voda lol , but going with speeds they were fine via BT but there defo was a slower connection going when speed test the box . It seemed as if they were throttling the stream but NO server block as everyone know the screen /server goes black but this was something different .

Just to add it was all channels for them if that helps you.

Yeah my ip address shows as manchester oddly lol but i'm perfection with voda , never had a block ever i've even tested a guy's server that had blocks last season and i cleared on his no problem ,

Any how this is/was different but my friends from 8.30 last night got to see the rest fine but for an hour or so it was really bad , tuesday night it last until 9.15 , but like i say only the one provider BT , i spoke to our provider too and he sent me screen shots of other bt users out of N.I and they had been online perfect the whole time and he is bt himself and showed me his etc , so seems isolated issue or a random area /provider in our case

i think it could be by area. I've got a vpn in place for Saturday afternoon. If that doesn't work, i'll pay for a trial over the weekend, but i'm 95% sure it is vodafone

I really don't think it needs a vpn as it doesn't seem to be an isp block as everyone would be offline with that if that makes sense lol , though a vpn may hide the streaming and not cause the slow down , either that or they intended to slow down prime streaming ?

There is 2 games on tonight again like tuesday so no need to wait to test on saturday :)

Same lol as then be sorted for a good weekend of sport , i got pure vpn for £10 for 12 months on offer but i don't need it atm anyway . Just my friends with the issue yet bt in other area's was fine , similar to you , my vodafone is fine where as it isn't for you .

When plusnet were throttling my speeds someone here recommended a speed test that took three tests in quick succession a few seconds apart. One of the speeds might be fine, 50ish mbps, the next would be something like 0.4 mbps and the third about 10 mbps so if it'd only shown the first reading I'd have ruled out throttling.

Can't remember the name of the speed test though I'm afraid!

If Vodafone are throttling your speeds at football viewing times then all a vpn will do AFAIA is to reduce your speed slightly - so for the above example I gave it might knock 5% off each of those speeds, so you'd still be experiencing throttling.
