VPN on zgemma

I have a zgemma box (whoosh build) with an IPtv line.

recently it’s been going blank when the football is on & the provider has advised to use VPN.

I purchased digibit& installed it. Just wondering what everyone would recommend for a good VPN which can be easily done on zgemma boxes.
With Digibit I am some times getting blank channels, turn the VPN off & channels work.
My isp is virgin media, any advice/recommendation welcomed!

Virmin is a nightmare with VPN unless Hub is in modem mode imo
 
hi all i have nord vpn intalled on my zgemma h2h but when connected it is only 11mbps and without vpn it is 77mbps is there anyway i can increase speed
 
to help clear this up a little: VM routers will not permit a VPN to be installed directly on the router, a workaround is to place the VM router into modem mode & use a 2nd router connected to the VM router.
Placing the VPN on the device you wish to use (android/pc/mac/Enigma2) is by far easier

personally I wouldn't put VM router in modem mode with a 2nd router unless you want to run multiple devices that need a VPN, it's easier & cheaper to put the VPN on the device itself.
If you go with a 2nd router: you can put a VPN on most 3rd party routers, some are better than others (don't ask me which), routers like the Liberty router have a built in VPN but again I haven't used these so someone else may shed some light on which is best etc.
I wouldn't be too worried about speedtest results as long as your service runs smooth.

To download Add vpn plugin easily
Scroll down to select Your vpn provider
Press the blue button to save settings
On the next screen add your username and password giving by your provider
Select country to run vpn through
Press blue button to save settings
The van icon top left of the screen should
Turn green
You can also download e2 speed test
From the extensions
When you do speed test You will notice the
Country your vpn is connected to

Tried this to add Nord vpn to my zgemma H2S. Selected a country outside UK (only 3 others available). The icon turned green as in the instructions. But when I tried the speedtest the country I selected doesn't show. It has same details as before vpn so would suggest vpn isn't working.
 
i just signed up to a month on Nordvpn yesterday so i will report back after weekend regarding outcomes

i am on Sly BB and have firestick in one room and zgemma i55 in another so hoping this will resolve 3pm issues etc.

if this works i will then purchase a GL.iNet GL-MT300N-V2 (Mango) Wireless Mini Portable VPN Travel Router to sort out a mag problem in my parents place

There are at least 25 other countries to pick from on my Nord. Can't understand why you have only 3.
 
Mate. Neither do I. As I said I followed instructions for thr easy vpn adder and all seems to work. I have deleted and tried again. I am only given servers in fr, nl or usa outside uk. The vpn symbol turns green but my ip address remains the same as seen when a speedtest is run.
