Bought a USA vpn & managed to connect very simply to my iPhone and iPad,but when going through the same process with my android ice cube 2 box I have the app but when I press connect it goes through the motions but fails to connect. I have just received a message saying I will have to set the vpn up in the router the device is connected to then they state DD WRT,TOMATO,Pfsense style routers currently I have a virgin media net gear router & don't know if this is compatible with any of whats stated,iam totally clueless so any help would be great.

They are talking about flashing new firmware to the router, which you can not do with the Virgin router, but you can do it with a normal router i.e. one you have purchased yourself.
