Washing Machine problem

New drum bearing with new spider as well m8, a bit of a c*** of a job, but feasible [ and replace the belt will your in there ]

"was washing a heavy settee throw" and if the drum now isn't moving freely = Drum bearings gone (as has been said..)

At twenty years old, not worth bothering with a repaid

Had a look in the back of washer and decided to get a new 1 from currys.
Bosch have a 2 year guarantee for ALL machines but this one caught my eye with a 5 year guarantee

It would cost @ &350 but the peace of mind from the guarantee would be great, what do you think?

And thanks for all the helpful advice

there's a brand new one on ebay for £110 less

The motor had a smell of smoke and drum is sticky so I decided a nice new 1 will do the trick

Looks decent mate didn't know they still did hot and cold fill anymore
Thats what clinched it for me mate, plus the fact that it doesn't seem to have ridiculously long wash programs and a simple control panel
