What's the difference..

So I recently setup a z-gemma H5.2TC with cable sub and noticed that it has an IPTV plugin so I installed that and managed to watch a few tv series.

What I would like to know is what is the difference between this and the IPTV subs that people look to pay for? Is it simply to stream live tv content? Similar to what i'm getting through the cable sub anyway?

Thanks.

IPTV Player is a lot like Kodi, streamed/download content on demand where as an IPTV sub is just like your VM sub providing active restreams of channels, live events etc.

IPTV Player is one of the most liked/used plugins & is included in most images/builds

Thanks. So if I have cable sub and IPTV player for on demand content then there is no real need for me to have an IPTV sub?

Well unless I want to watch foreign channels or football that isn't broadcast on Sky/BT for example?

As you already have a VM sub the only reason at the minute to add an IPTV sub is to gain the extras you dont get via VM such as some pay per view event, 3pm kickoffs plus a few extra sports channels, most IPTV subs also have a VOD section but to be honest you can find most of the VOD content with IPTV Player anyway.
at the minute you have the best content method available with your VM sub so its mostly sports nutts that want the 3pm kickoff's that take both VM & IPTV subs

Ta mate. Answered my question. I watch Boxing/MMA more than footie and that's all covered on the cable/box office subs so don't think there's much need for me to get myself an IPTV sub (for now).
