WhatsApp can’t restore media help

Hi, few days ago my WhatsApp notification were not coming through properly…so googled and it said to back up my chat and reinstall the app….I did this and when I have tried to reinstall the chat back up it stalls at “couldn’t restore media” I have freed up loads of GB but still can’t install the media part of things. Have upgraded to the latest iOS yesterday. The top where it says “free up 1.93GB…”keeps on strangely jumping up and when I delete vids/photos.Can anyone help in fixing this??

Reset your phone and install from the last backup maybe a couple of days ago as iPhones backup every 24-48hr don’t do a backup from today as you won’t get whattsapp messages

Erase all content and settings? Then restore the last back up from iCloud ?

Resetting and running an early backup does seem to work just that sometimes you will miss recent messages ect but no biggie really
