What does that mean? Tested an IPTV line and I kept getting a message play next video. Is that to do with my router? Have a Vermin supplied router.

. packet loss is the information going through you broadband , you could have lightening speeds but poor packed data would make it rubbish for viewing as it would not be giving a smooth information to your device, making your streams quitchy
Not up on IPTV mate but don't think that's your problem mate.

Exactly what wortho said if you remove the last line concerning it's effects on iptv
Now to explain , say if you are watching your rv normally and getting your packets 100% , say for example you are getting 60 packet a minute (which mean 1 packet each second)
Now in the occasion when you lose one packet you would get only 59 packet instead of regular 60 packet
Basically that mean one second of your tv is missing , not delaying but magically disappeared on the route
Your box would assume that the video have ended and ask you if you want to play an other video .

Alright now to analysing the problem
All you have to do is put a video on youtube at 1080p quality
Then start cmd (command prompt )
Then type this :
Ping www.google.com -t

Leave it working for 5 minutes then press ctrl + c
And it will give you the results

You are looking for 0 to 1% of packet lose else if it's more there is a problem there
