Will adding a 2nd line help with freezing

As per title.

I have had a VU+ Solo 2 for nearly a year with a 'recommended' line. Most of the time though, paid channels will momentarily freeze for a few seconds, say every 10 to 20 mins. It has always been like this. FTA is without issue...

I was wondering if this is the norm?

If not, will adding a 2nd line help or am I barking up the wrong tree.

I have been in touch with the provider who has been good tbh and recommended things like changing soft cam. i have tried different ones. I have checked my end, net connection is strong and stable. always 30MB +, usually more like 40. Box is hard wired direct to router.

We can have multiple devices streaming YT or other services with no glitches so I know connection iis good.

If a 2nd line isn't the answer, can anyone recommend what may be the answer to smooth tv. Thanks

i have 120mb broadband and still get freezes on various boxes and pcs,you can see the lights freeze on the switch for a jiffy then flash again.

perfection is not possible, that's the nature of this beast. you could try running it with a 2nd line using oscam, but no guarantees.

hi barx. I had the same problem as yourself, I bought various lines trying to get one that is 100% freeze free as they like too quote lol... ive set up my box with oscam and have a good solid line gained through here, and a couple of cheaper ones and my box is now virtually freeze free. can go a few days without me noticing any freezes. would highly recommend this setup, but I'm no expert... just saying it worked perfect for me.

paul its the way forward a couple of servers in oscam working here also in oscam 3 servers and crap internet works fine

Another shout for oscam. Got one "good" line and a couple of cheapies and my setup is fine.

Though price isn't always an indicator of quality.

I have 3 boxes and they all have a glitch now and then but not so often now I have changed DNS on the boxes. A solid signal does not always mean the data needed is getting through.

2 crap lines=crap service times 2.

Try a good server. Most are crap.

Good Luck

Every 10/20 mins may mean internal issue and if server was that bad doubt he'd be spending his time helping. Have you reset your router? Tried Google DNS? Reflashed?

P.S.I do totally agree re OScam with 2 average lines even IF is your line....

I have bought two lines from this site and it was fine as a test then went down hill with lots of freezing, and when i ping my two lines their ips are one number apart.

So is one person selling under lots of different names when you request a line?.

I think finding a good line is like finding the holy grail, and soured my experience so far.

Yeah I'll second that !! Lol. Maybe some of the people on here with the knowledge will enlighten us on the server process??... I know there are some private servers, and then theres servers that you can pay into an account balance and that let's you create your own lines and tests, which is probably where most lines are from as even I have received the same server from different people.

I am new to this too.I have Mgcamd running with an N line .I set it up with wooshbuild .I also have a c line which is not in use because if I start ccam Mgcamd stops working .
The N line is superior to the C line but I still get the occassional freeze lasting 5 to 10 secs .
Is there anyway possible to use the two lines so if one freezes the other switches on immediately.
I see people mentioning Oscam am I right in thinking that it would be possible to put both lines in Oscam .If this is so can someone direct me to an idiots guide .
I can ftp in to my box which is s Zgemma H2S using Fzilla

I am having similar problems. I have 2 Solo2 boxes and have had my N line for about 2 years. In the last few months there is freezing most nights on SOME channels.

Tonight for instance I am watching Borussia Mönchengladbach v Manchester City on BT Sport 2 and it freezing every 30 seconds. If I switch to BT Sport1 it is perfect ?
It is the same behavior on both of my boxes. I contacted my supplier and he says there are no problems.

If there are many people watching the same channel (e.g. BT Sport2) does this explain freezing happening only on some channels whilst others are perfect ?

I recall watching a match a few weeks ago with terrible freezing and when the game was over the channel became perect.

some channels have more than one SID so you must try all of them. either by including not indexed channels in your autoboutiques settings or when your in the boutiques and scrolling threw channels, highlight the channel you want and press the red button for ALL and it will give you more SIDs for the same channel.
