It's already set to media/hdd, it's visible in his screenshot above but if he's recently flashed the box, it could have filled up with temporary files etc

Exactly.
It's trying to download EPG over and over again, too many requests.
If it had somewhere to DL to, it wouldn't need to request constantly.

Until it has somewhere to store it, it can't download
 
Flashed again set usb to hd backed up plug ins and build put xe on still no epg looked on xe panel all the epg is there. Still not downloading . Ordered a new usb and might do a new playlist is there anything else i can do ?

Yes, ditch XE altogether and use xtreamity, far better interface and no farting around with epg and picons etc
 
Hello all - Set up my AB Pulse with Willobuild (very impressive), even got my iptv going although may revisit as using Xstremity but Jedi Maker is better?

Main thing left to set up is my VPN, I'm using PIA, on their website its asking me to download an app which reading other threads on here doesn't sound right?

I've read of plugins called VPN Manager and OpenVPN but really not sure which one I should be using on this box with Willobuild? I assume that I can use my VPN with a plugin?

Apologies if its been asked many times before, just genuinely not sure and new to all of this

I haven't used it for years, but I used to use VPNmanager and had to download the Linux config files from PIA.
I can't remember for the life of me how to actually configure it though.
 
Flashed box again rebooted router added new usb set to hd ect .made new playlist on xe website added code and still the same no epg and stuck on 0 for downloading epg . Madness slowly giving up

Why not just use EPG Importer plugin instead. I have a full working EPG on my E2 box using this method.

Just checked the xe plug in logs and its the same as yesterday .does anyone know what it means?

When you are setting up XE, you must have it set to check at boot up for updates, epg etc.
This should be set to NO.
Then you can run a manual check after rebooting the box to see if that makes a difference.
There's a lot of autorun errors in the login.
Turn it off
