Upgraded firmware for YOJIA Openbox is now available on their site.
This is the Openbox version of the Skybox f/w released on 19/5 and is for the V8se, V8s and V5s.
I haven't uploaded these firmwares so as not to cause confusion but you can download at http://www.yojiatech.com

The f/w worked in mine but mine were ok anyway--I just tested to see if the files were safe.
Download and try yourself if XMLTV not working correctly for you. The only way is to try.

Skybox and Yojia make genuine openboxes and you will find that firmware from both will and can be used. F/w from Hddybsw is 100% clone and the files from Shenzen Bi-Union are usually just copies from Skybox/Yojia and can be a little bit suspect although I've only used their site a couple of times when Skybox site was hacked. The firmware on Libertview are just Skybox f/w under a different name. You can be led astray by sellers and suppliers who sell you so called genuine original boxes and tell you to get files from just the one site--they are only in this game to make money.

Hi Reaper,

So how do you tell a genuine V8S from a fake one? Is there any way, or do you just have to take the sellers word for it? If you have a fake and you assume its genuine, what happens if you flash the firmware intended for a genuine model onto the fake? Is there no checking procedure done by the box before it ends up a doorstop?

By the way, the YOJIA website link you posted above wont open here at all.....?????

If f/w no good then usually you will get file mismatch on screen.
Buy from reputable seller or direct from manufacturer.
Do your homework before you buy. Ask around.
This has been discussed previously so read thru the forum and on the i-net.

I'm just about to download the V5s firmware, but I notice that the firmware date is the same as the skybox.cc firmware date (150519), so I doubt that the summer time bug has been fixed.

I'll install it after I've had my dinner!
 
I bough my box from a seller that was recommended on this forum and there was a printed note inside the package telling me this, thanks reaper for the explanation about the site you posted
 
Just installed it.

As I suspected, the summer Time bug is still present in this firmware.
 
This is the XLMTV update f/w from Yojia. I just called it WLMTV to see if anyone actually read the posts instead of just asking for help without looking at what is posted. A proven theory now.
Please read the forum threads---all answers are there and if not then ask for assistance and members will only be too glad to help you.
Even Mr Kremmen, a forum devotee failed to spot the title----had to put that, because normally he scans posts with a microscope trying to catch us out lol

By the way I just updated into my v8s and is working very well so far ,and there isn't summer time bug on my box

I did notice the strange title...but thought you might have been having a touch of dyslexia, so didn't mention it so as not to cause any embarrassment LOL. ;)
