Woosh wont flash

Patt

Newbie
Firstly I am a complete noob at this sort of thing, but a friend who is already on here said I would be capable.....

I've tried 3 different 4gb sticks and a 32gb and none will flash wooshbuild onto the H2s.
I've also tried re-formatting the sticks and both front and rear ports.

Whilst looking at the FAQS:
The file structure
Zgemma folder
-------------------- sh1 or h3 folder
-------------------- 5 files

Although the structure I see:
Movie folder......................empty
Timeshift folder.................empty
zgemma folder.......misc-files folder....CCam
lineCreator
newcamd
...zgemma............h3

So nowhere near, what could I possibly have done wrong, and more importantly how do I fix this?

TIA

I'll again tonight using Willo's method of formatting and ensure the directory/path is exactly the same this time.

Whilst I'm neither a techno phobe nor a IT guru - I just don't like being beaten at the first stage.
I really want to learn so I can help myself this time, rather than pay out for an ebay gift with no support from vendor or knowledge my end.

Plan B is always to courier it off to my friend, and beg him to find the time...but that's not what I'm trying to achieve.

try a program called hdd lowlevel format on the usb, once done it should ask to flash again. Then try once more to flash it

Ok, lets start at the very beginning, ( a very good place to start.....) where did you download the Wooshbuild basebuild file from?

Also, have you, as suggested, read the instructions linked to by Biff2005 ?

These instructions WORK and WORK well, but need to be followed to the letter.

I downloaded from the Woosh site (linked from this site)

I read the instructions before an during my attempt, as I also had a youtube "how to" on my ipad that was recommended somewhere on here too.

When I get back home I shall first exactly emulate the file pattern advised, rather than trust the download to do it correctly and try a couple of 4gb sticks that I already tried last night.
If that fails , I shall follow the ways of formatting a couple of work scrounged smaller sticks (2gb & 512k)

I hope my next post is a more positive one and regarding lines etc....

I'm sure it will be.

I wouldn't bother with the youtube vids. as I think most, if not all, are out of date now.

When you say you will emulate the fie pattern advised, all you have to do is unzip the basebuild download to your PC and
copy the Zgemma folder within and it's entire contents from the BaseBuild folder on your PC to the USB stick.
So just drag and drop "Zgemma" to your USB stick.

Happy Flashing. 👍

He'll save every one of us...FLASH...he's a miracle!

So an old 512k stick was begged, and then I used to lowlevel hdd programme to wipe it clean before FAT32 format using windows.
I then copied only the Zgemma file over and plugged the stick in the front. :-D

The audio is VERY VERY quiet and I can't see anything obvious. Its running on the HDMI cable, or should be. ???

So before I post in the correct section, what do I need to ask for?

I have 2 sat dish leads, BT Hub6 and am want to ensure I get sports and btsports

OMG what a noob I am - I am so used to the AV amp.
That's sorted it.

So what type of line do I need to request?
