You can set the swap file up anytime you want
Press menu - info panel - plugins - swap manager to set up your swap file
Read quite a few posts about swap files not needed on newer boxes but seeing as its only 256mb I don't see any reason not to have one

hi folks,

I have honest;y not used the woosh build much so please give me a chance.

i want to install another usb key granted its only 32gb but the person that owns it only wants a small one so the wife cannot record much soaps

Can you please tell me how, Assistence greatly appreciated.

Bear in mind ive never had to create a swop file or the likes so go easy on me.

Reformat the usb to fat32 first.
Put into rear of box and press blue button.
Go to harddisk at bottom then across to initialisation and follow instructions.
You will also need to create a new swap file.
Menu/info panel/plugins/swap manger/select 256mb
Or just download V5 and everything is done for you (remember to have a copy of line available)

How do I set a series link on Zgemma Woosh?

Use the red button to set a series link but change the type to zap instead of record. Same on any OpenATV image.

I had a programme on series link, but no longer want it.

Deleted it, but it is still recording each episode, how do I remove this permanently, am I missing something?

same problem here all the time - deleted series link recorings keep reappearing

I have a similar problem, did this ever get resolved?

When I delete the the autotimer it reappears the next day and causes conflict issues.

Delete the autotimer, select yes when it asks if you want to delete all of the timers created by it and then save with the green button.
If you don't click save it will automatically generate them all again.

And can you set a reminder for a program instead of just setting it to record? (like sky where it would tell you that a program you have set is about to start)

If you long press the record button it changes to a zap timer which changes the channel to the one you want to watch or record.

I have had to settle for VisionVix which i must say is quite good but i would have liked to use Iplayer or catchup I tried loading Wooshbuild but when i got half way it would come up with error. The youtube wooshbuild guy who was very helpful at the time (although he has disappeared now) suggested that they were about to update to the new no5 so that might have caused the problem?

Try the new V5 install.
It is so easy and guides you on screen all the way through and less than 10 minutes from start to finish.

Hi, was thinking of backing up full image on another USB. Not sure if I should put the USB I'm backing it up to in front, or in back ( already have one in back ).

Best way I think to do a backup is use the backup option on the blue button, choose backup to HDD when complete connect to your box using Filezilla on your pc and navigate to your harddrive where you will find a file named full backup right click on it and click on download it will now download to your pc Once on your pc all you need to do is extract the contents of the folder to find a file named zgemma which can be kept safe or used to reflash your box by putting the file on a usb stick and insert in the front port of your box behind the front flap, don't forget to disconnect any other usb's or hard drives, press the button on the front left of the box when you see update message on the on the screen

Sounds like you need to reinstall your line,did you back it up before updating? If not you need to get it from your original supplier

Cheers. will contact him and see where that takes me. I only backed up settings prior to the update, so that could be it. I only have written details of the line, the box was set up ready for me. Thanks for getting back, thanks for the help.

Download Line Creator from download section by sinkers and it will solve your problem.

Hi folks. Just a quick question. I want to do a full back up before I update. Will this automatically overwrite the backup I already have on my hard drive ( in the back of the box )

It will and it won't lol
When you do a backup it actually creates 2 at the same time
The first one is stored in the zgemma folder and will overwrite your old backup
The second is stored in the fullback up_zgemmah2s folder and is put into a folder which is date and time named so does not overwrite any other backups in that folder

Hi,when playing back a recorded programme is it possible to display the speed I am fast forwarding or rewinding such as 2x 4x? Looked through the settings as I'm sure I've seen it somewhere but I'm buggered if I can find it

Have a look at the Slyk HD 1 thread, there is a setting you need to change which shows this info.

WooshBuild v5 has it setup already but can't remember from the top of my head what it is - sorry.

Have downloaded a file (The Grand Tour) and its in the .mkv format. Is it possible to transfer this to my Zgemma to watch on my TV screen?

Yup, I just tried my copy and it plays fine.

Not sure what is new yet but will mess about over next week or so and see.

On the face of it nothing to start with for an existing user. For a new user, flashing WooshBuld is now all covered by a screen driven installation using BaseBuild. Line, channels and settings all done from the remote simply and quickly.

From then on and for the existing user it is the features that have been added.

WooshBuild Feeds - Allows WooshBuild plugins and any other agreed plugins / skins to be upgraded via software updates and always the latest version is available
Automatic channel swap - WooshBuild country / Region plugin has now gone
Easily re-flash or update WooshBuild
bootup notifications indicating no internet, new WooshBuild and WooshBuild systems messages.
The ability to remove any pre-installed WooshBuild plugin but then add at a later date
WooshBuild v5 means we can now offer updates, fixes and new plugins / plugin updates without flashing.
Added some common parts of OpenATV to WB Config for ease.

Chabs SkyQ has an update to 1.700 today, this is already available on your box via the software update, or you can remove SkyQ and re-install, either way you will have v1.700. Before v5, We would have had to create a new WooshBuild which included the update or users would have to manually go through the IPK procedure.

We hope that v5 will be around for a good while before 6 is even mentioned. Not sure we can do much more now.

Any way to create a backup up of my Image and sending it to a friend to flash on their box.

Only problem is if i send them a copy of my image my line details will be on it ?

Can I remove line details after backup or is there another way.

Would like to send my backup as my friend isn't exactly the most tech savvy ..

You can remove line details using the Dream Explorer plugin. Navigate to usr/keys and delete the newcamd.list or CCcam.cfg file, you can remove both if you are not sure which one you line is in. Make a backup and then upload to Dropbox or somewhere like that, the file size is going to be up to 100mb.

For your friend, if not to tech savvy, would it not be easier for them to use BaseBuild? Either way that have to still flash the box once. BaseBuild will do the line for them too, with a backup of your box they have to actually do more steps buy adding the file to a usb stick, putting it in the front of the box and running the USB Cam importer. BaseBuild is copy this and this to your USB, and turn the box on.
