But if it aint broke, dont fix it. Newer versions seem to slow the boxes down. I remember my original h2s seemed quite nippy at the start but with the updates has got worse over time, I always went to the next version and wonder if I can install the original 45 years old version to see if it still works...

Very wrong statement to make.Enigma 2 boxes develop a lot in a short space of time and a reflash of updated firmware should be done at least once a year minimum.

Dozens of people posting on here every day having issues and nearly all are down to outdated firmware.
