Now I understand a little more I have managed to initialise the usb and mount it, it now works ok.
I was getting into difficulty's because after I had initialized the usb stick I was trying to look at recordings on my computer and of course that does not work.
Just one point I have is if the usb stick does not come out of the xpeed and I save recordings to it how do I know if its getting full.
On a 64GB drive you should be able to store about 50-70 recordings before its almost full. If your pulling them off to watch on your PC I wouldn't worry about the drive getting full, you can always keep them on your PC for later.
