z gemma-star h2 setup without cable?

Hi, please forgive my lack of knowledge here. I've just had my z gemma box delivered and I'm excited to set it up. I'm wondering if it's possible to just use satellite input or do I need cable also?

Jo if its the h2 combo then sat will work fine on its own
