Hi Im using mtpockets open atv image which has beed great. Ive noticed that my epg is not updating the last 2 days, i've checked sources and the rytec ones are missing is anyone else having this issue? or is it a rytec issue being down ?
 
Rytec has been a pain in the last few days.

I just uninstalled the plugins...xmltv importer...and the rytec and resinstalled them.
Reboot
Set source back to UK and do a manual scan.

All should be good.
 
Just put a more recent image on and getting the same issue - "Cannot retrieve rytec sources".

Kiddac, can you explain the steps to uninstall the the plugin and re-add Cheers

Thanks for the reply kiddac, have just tried uninstall reboot re install reboot when i go back into xmltv sources still only have satmate sky uk and satmate sky it. not sure if i shoud wait to see if it resolves or install fresh image. Have also installed cross epg but get error cannot retrieve rytec sources.
 
this should work... In fact I did this, this morning.
(maybe you also need to do a software update ... although that is not recommended if using mtpockets old 4.2 version. You are likely to crash your box)

go plugins...

remove plugins...extensions...

remove xmltv-import-rytec

remove xmltv-import

reboot gui

go back in plugins

download plugins...extensions...

install xmltvimport

install xmltvimport-rytec.

reboot gui...

go into xmltvimport menu

setup > epg > xmltv-importer

sources (blue button)

check rytec uk... save

start a manual scan (yellow button)

10-15 mins later your epg should be populated again.
 
Thanks again kiddac, tried again following your instructions still has the same issue, decided to do an online software update after update re-followed your instructions and now have all rytec sources back and downloading.
 
Thought my epg issue had been sorted, I was wrong, it's now not auto updating,m. I can do a manual scan on it sometimes although today it just comes up with 0 events found. It's behaving really odd. Also these last 2 days, my hdd has shown 0mb left which is not right. I only have a 32gb usb in the back but I only have about 4 tv shows recorded. I normally have around 13gb spare. All these issues have happened since the clock change, would love some help!

Also, I'm not sure if I should start again from scratch? I am using mt pockets 4.1 open atv, or do an update instead?
 
You have two options when you select the sources in xmltv importer.

1. Rytec UK XMLTV
2. 'UK' at the bottom under **** Rytec EPG.DAT ****

If you use the first one your epg will take about 15 mins to populate and '0 events' will change accordingly. If you use the second it just downloads a new EPG.DAT file, this only takes about one min but your box may become unresponsive while it downloads and also '0 events' will stay at zero.

Check which one you have selected, it might be that you have the second and the epg is updating but not changing from zero.

Regarding you hdd, check your mounts. It sounds as though the hdd might not be mounted has reverted to the box's flash memory.
 
Have Definetly been using just the Rytec UK XMLTV and it's normally been fine. Had a feeling the low memory on the hdd and the epg issue were linked, so went into FileZilla to see what was in the hdd folder. Found 2 "epg Dat files" and a XMLTV winzip file, I deleted them all, then checked my hdd memory on the box, which now showed the right amount of memory. Next I went into XMLTV and done a manual scan and it then started pulling in all the epg data. Seems ok at the moment, but v weird how it all buggered up in the first place! Just need to see if the auto update of the epg kicks in tomorrow morning as scheduled!

Is your epg blank for BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Europe (SD not HD)? Mine has been for about a month now, thought it was just Rytec catching up but now I'm starting to wonder as it's been so long.

Mine has been blank for a while now too :-(

Removed plugins and restarted GUI. Canmot find xmltv in downloadable plugins now.
