Zgemma h17 combo freeze

No, I just flashed it, and all I did was what I already said, I only updated the CI+ Helper because of module compatibility, and I tuned the channels, the channels work normally, but hey, it can crash at any moment, even without doing anything...
That is a storage issue by the sounds of it. Have you got u usb oe hard drive mounted in the box ?

So that is your problem.

That box can only support an external usb connected HDD or a usb. Have you go a usb connected or spare usb?

Its best to have epg saved on usb stick for these boxes.

More than likely so you should get a usb stick 4gb or 8gb and set it up to have epg saved to it. then if box crashes again I would say its toast.

16GB Nand on these im not sure there is a storage issue because of an EPG.

The EPG.dat is loaded into memory anyway from file.

Exactly, there it is, that's why I found it strange that this was the problem because I still have about 12 GB internally.

Switch off, then unplug your drive that’s in the rear of box and then switch on or try to reset and after it boots up switch off and then reinstall the rear drive
Let us know what happens
Note
The external drive can then be put back in box at rear but only when switched off
Also if then works download new image to different boot sector

To reset box it’s something like switch box off and with the external drive removed hold the white power button on box then while holding rear button press and hold front button and then release rear button . It’s something like this sequence it should display recovery at some point and the reboots but cannot recall exact sequence for some zgemma and unsure if this applies to h17 combo but imagine it’s same for all zgemma
Found this info for some zgemma boxes
  1. Power off the Zgemma receiver.
  2. Plug the USB stick into the rear USB port.
  3. Hold down the rear reset button.
  4. Power on the receiver while still holding the rear reset button.
  5. When the front logo light starts flashing White/Red (or RcVry appears on the display), release the reset button.
  6. Wait for the flashing process to finish. The box will reboot automatically when successful.
Step 2 ignore and don’t have any drive in rear of box and follow these steps
