Zgemma H2s - Wooshbuild - IPTV media player not showing .mkv files on NAS

Hi,

I dont know if this is wooshbuild issue or IPTV plugin issue - but recently my box stopped showing .mkv files on my nas. That means it worked in past.
I mounted a NAS drive which shows all the folders when i browse via media player in IPTV plugin - but it is not showing any .mkv files. My most of the movies which i download via usenet are in mkv format.

Any help - why this is happening?

I haven't used the IPTV media player but why don't you just use the built in media player from File List. That works fine for me.

As Willo says, just use the standard media player?

Did IPTV do an update and then stop working? This is what tends to happen just not normally on OpenATV that I am aware of. You ca roll back to a previous version of IPTV player by downgrading, not far oh far back you can go though.

I also use the standard player, you should be fine with it. I have set my box up using what is already available from this site and it is excellent but above all ...I can manage to do it. I have had a couple of 'moments' but managed to see through things.

Guys - sorry for replying late on this.
Inbuild player is bit odd unfortunately - I dont like it much :(
IPTV player was really good in terms of forwarding etc...

@Wooshman - yes I updated it and it stopped working. Rolled back multiple times but unfortunately did not help.

Any other good player you guys suggest?? what is Enhanced media player??

Any other suggestion - or any other player we can use? or plugin etc

One thing I haven't read above is if you have updated IPTV Player recently? If not maybe it was an issue they were aware of and have resolved it?

Just a thought though.

Hey nuddyd,

any luck with iptv player ? I have the same issue, can't see any avi or mkv files off my NAS, built in player is not really good with forwarding and reversing true.
have you tried VLC player by any chance ? Can't make it work either.. bump :(

Hi everyone. Sorry to hijack but I'm also having an issue with the player when trying to watch anything on iptv. Getting an error massage which states directories can't be located and when you try to access the pluggin menu it tells you that that's there's a problem with some file. Can't seem to find the pluggin to delete then reinstall? Anyone any thoughts.

Many thanks.

It is in the plugins menu (Green button). To remove it, then press the red button and then open the extensions section. Highlight IPTV Player and press OK. - Are you sure.... Yes

Then reboot.

Then install it using the green button instead of red.

Is there an section for apps ie loading VLC player ?

From full screen TV press the Green button (plugins) then press green again to open a list of all downloadable plugins.

Stupidity has been removed from here

Please note that beyond that, plugin support on this thread is only for pre-installed plugins.

I dont have wooshbuild my plugins only give me a fixed list with no downloads available so thats a no.

What box are you using and what firmware?

If Vix on a Zgemma box they blocked plugins for them. You have to use TS Media I believe to gain access to plugins?

I also confused myself (which is easy) and thought I was in the WooshBuild thread still, this thread you can post and ask what you like - Sorry :-) I updated my previous post

zgemma h2s i think its on Openvix picture of field and trees etc. plug in browser 7 apps including iptv player.press green button download plug ins nothing there.

Yes, because it is Vix, all plugins have been blocked I am afraid.

TS media is posted about in the Sucmnsee image thread I think and will help you get plugins via TS Media (I think). The other option is to change to an OpenATV image which has no issues. Other firmware support the Zgemma boxes too.

Vis spat their dummies out and blocked the Zgemma plugins as it is not supposed to run vix as "it isn't officially supported" as they say.
