Zgemma h8 2h for iptv?

Good day tekkers,
I just bought from a zgemma h8 2h and was wondering if there is a possiblity to make it work for IPTV.

Ive searched the web/forum but with no luck for an easy answer that is not embedded in a lot of technical words.
Maybe the solution is to flash OpenaTV.(what does it stand for?) If that is even possible...?

Maybe someone out there can tell me if iptv works with h8 2h.

Mod can move this to a more suitable section if needed.

Thank you!

G

Thank you!

Unfortunate I have OpenPli installed on my box. Tried to putty my way in but the connection got refuse.

Is it possible to flash my box to openatv and then follow the guide provided? Is it easy? Or do you think i should go down another path?
I could access it via a browser but didnt have cmd under Extra information as shown in the guide.

Thank you once again!

When you access it via browser, openwebif, is Terminal showing on left hand pane?
Click terminal and you can flash Grogbuild from there.

If you can't login via putty, you need to set a password with the remote first then use that to login

Under OpenPLI network option you see a set password option.

Use that to give your image a password then reboot. Try again to login with putty if successful follow grogs guide again.

You have to have a command line option to install grogs build.

Thank you for your responses. I couldn't find any network option in the GUI to set the password, might have an old build(2020) but somehow I manage to set a password via the Terminal on macOS.
Anyhow, one step forward, two steps back I guess.
I thought that I didn't need a USB-stick for this option, am I on the right path?:confounded:

Code:
root@h8:~# wget  -O ~/fla.sh  http://flashmybox4.me && bash fla.sh

wget  -O ~/fla.sh  http://flashmybox4.me && bash fla.sh

Connecting to flashmybox4.me (91.121.192.18:80)

Connecting to flashmybox4.me (91.121.192.18:80)

saving to '/home/root/fla.sh'

fla.sh               100% |********************************| 25903  0:00:00 ETA

'/home/root/fla.sh' saved

no USB or HDD that has been initialised on the box has been detected, please initialise the USB device and make sure it has been mounted on /media/hdd and then retry the Grogbuild Setup

A mounted USB stick is needed to help with the install.

My bad, have read the guide so many times and still missed
"Assuming that you have your USB/HDD connected to the box (used for recordings etc) then you can use this method."

I still have issues with mounting it. I think it is 2/4gb stick.
Format in windows to FAT32.
Ran a initialize program on the box. Said completed and mounted.
I'll search in the thread, I bet there are people encountered this before.

I managed to get pass it one time, somehow:unsure:;

Code:
root@h8:~# mount wget  -O ~/fla.sh  http://flashmybox4.me && bash fla.sh
mount wget  -O ~/fla.sh  http://flashmybox4.me && bash fla.sh

Im not sure on this maybe 4gb is too small.

Whats the stick mounted as HDD or USB again not 100% sure it would make a difference i dont use builds but worth experimenting
