I was given a Zgemma box by someone they recommend it worked fine when the stopped using it.
When I plug Ethernet power and HDMI into it all I get is a screen that looks like a head for a while then it changes to this screen that looks like sky tv but nothing works so 1st question
Should I factory reset the unit ?
Then what would I have to do to get it working again ?
I don’t have any dish connected does that make a difference ?

Depending on what model Zgemma it is, it's usually a satellite receiver, you won't get any picture until you connect satellite feeds to it.
Does anything happen when you press the menu buttons?

What are you wanting to do with it is the question?
It's a satellite box so needs sat feeds to work unless you're planning on using it for IPTV or watching stuff over your network.

Can I use it for IPTV ?
How do I go about that ? Is there a guide to assist ?

I don't use IPTV but there will be some info in the IPTV section.
Not sure if the 2S is a bit underpowered though?

look at installing the ipab image on the box for iptv

I would say a stock firmware would be best
If it’s iptv all you need is the iptv and a epg importer
