Hi Folks

Trying to download latest software for kryptview file is "A780_FW_V4.02.08.rar" latest file dated 20012015=20 Jan 2015, downloaded to WinRAR from the download section of this site it is their when I open WinRAR and try to unzip it, it says windows can't open this file open using the web but then comes up with file association and a load of other crap, I would have thought if I had downloaded WinRAR and it's there then that programme would open it and I could save it to the desktop.... any help would be appreciated come on Ted, why are things never straight forward.
 
did you install winrar to pc,if you have it on pc i just use the wizard icon and install to destination?
 
Hi, I would uninstall winrar, reboot your laptop and then re-install the correct version of winrar for your operating system checking that it matches your windows version either 32bit or 64bit.
Once you have the correct version of winrar on your laptop, just double click the firmware file and a winrar window should open up, then just click the extract button.

Hi lads, sorry to be a pain, just trying to download a free version of Winrar 64 bit for laptop windows 7, typed in goggle gone through most on 1 st page, usual places like downloads.com nothing there rather than witter on anyone got any ideas what site to use, and thanks Ted if i get stuck i'll pm.

Hi Lads I appriciate your effets, tried downloading with :- Download WinRAR (64-bit) v5.21 Beta 1 - AfterDawn: Software downloads, from web site "Afterdawn" come’s up with "Virgin have blocked it cannot down load" tried downloads.com don't bother with that I got a search engine hijacker even though I pay £36 for Norton, spent 4 hours on this so far and this is just to get Winrar, THIS THREAD MAY HELP OTHERS WHO ARE HAVING SAME PROBLEM when I get sorted I’ll post an idiot guide step one to whatever if this helps, if you want me to, any objections just let me know, I reckon the attraction for any wed site is easy to access information, Thanks again let me know where I get winwar 62 bit win 7
 
Hi Lads further info Winrar.....downloaded Winrar from "Rarlab" job lot on there check it out took 30 seconds, I went to downloads on left hand side, scroll down to localised Winrar Versions, English 64 bit, you can go to 32, or whatever everything there for any comp, then click on it and download click box to put icon on your desktop and your done, I 'll have a go updating the Kv box over next couple of days, DO I HAVE TO FACTORY RESET TO DO THIS OR IS IT UPDATE, SO IS IT LIKE STARTING AFRESH AS IF IT'S A NEW BOX, thanks
 
why not try doin it by remote now it has settled a bit may have to have a few tries and if it freezes exit straight away and try again don't just leave it for hours and hours hopin its gonna load cos it wont
 
software update online via remote and/or do it by null modem method as either way box will need a factory reset/rescan when updated
 
Hi guys. When you say don't leave it when doing a s/w download via the remote, how long should it take to download straight through? I see it stopping at about 10% most of the time and it just sits there.
 
it should go through within a couple of mins, if it stops it will not update people have left it overnight stops at 99%. best time to update late at night or early morning
or via null cable
 
Hi lads tried s/w update just gets stuck, then I try again seems to download a bit more everytime if go out and go back in, if i do it by the null cable do I down load the 20/1/2015 file to winrar and go through the process as if it was a new box, also do i do a factory reset 1st, thanks
