Hi guys

Anyone using NBC gold on fire stick?

Have some login details and installed app on fire stick but when I launch the app just shows NBC gold logo on screen. Doesn't go past that.

Have VPN set to US also.

Any ideas what issue maybe?

I think you need your amazon account set as US with a US address(Google one) and the amazon US app store on the firestick,Then you can download the nbcsn app from there what will be compatible for the firestick with a vpn running, because you need to be logged into the store for apps to work ,also This will mess all apps up on your current UK setup.

Didn't know you had to do that. That's long process. Know idea how would do that but don't think worth it tbh.

So you have to make a US address with card details to have US Amazon account for app to work?

I got NBC gold app from play store and sideloaded it.

How will it mess app on my UK account as haven't noticed anything messing up?

The app will not load because your app store is the amazon uk one,when you search for nbcsn on the firestick it wont show,change the app store to the us one with a vpn also and it will,Its not worth the hassle on the firestick your better off with a android box with google playstore instead,or a android phone and either cast it or some phones have a adapter to put a hdmi cable from the phone to the tv.

Yes i agree not worth hassle on fire stick. Trying to get US Amazon store and everything else to make it work not worth it imo. Plus don't want my current apps to mess up if trying to change to US store.

Micro HDMI from phone to tv not effective at all mate. Tried that before to no avail. Not stable. HDMI from computer to pc is better if do that way.

No android box/tv so that's no possible.

Have Android device which is phone. Tried that way as well. Got app from app store then had VPN set to US and all it shows is the nbc gold logo doesn't go to login page. Not sure if nord VPN is ineffective hence why doesn't work on phone also. Should at least work on my phone but doesn't even on that same issue.

The reason you're getting loading issues is because your VPN is blocked. You're making life difficult for yourself. Just sideload everything. That way you don't need to change anything on your stick.

Im useing f-secure freedom there is no problem running nbcsn or directtv on the pc app thats why i thought it was a region problem with the issues on the firestick.Ill try a different vpn.

The reason you're getting loading issues is because your VPN is blocked. You're making life difficult for yourself. Just sideload everything. That way you don't need to change anything on your stick.

So you don't need US Amazon store for the app to work on fire stick then?

If you don't mind me asking what VPN you using which isn't blocked? So nord is blocked hence why app when launch is stuck at the NBC logo? I tried all different cities when choose US server to no avail.

That's why im begining to depise nord just doesn't get past blocks. Not sure which VPN is one that doesn't get blocked.

No idea mate how you have got this to work on fire stick.

I think issue is app I have. Does not display correctly on fire stick. Don't know if have app for fire stick itself which can sideload it.

Can't get it to work. So frustrating.

Haven't got the app but done a bit of research( Google) there is plenty of tuition out there!! You have to change your details countries in settings/devices in Amazon account then download the app with help of decent vpn from USA play store(USA address needed or fake, then change back to proper address account when downloaded.
Make sure that both nbc apps are downloaded!! Then use vpn when app is opened. Don't ask questions please as I haven't tried it yet!!

No you don't. You don't need to do any off that. Sideload the app. Use PIA/Express or IP Vanish USA Server and away you go. You don't need to change any account details or addresses. Just sideload it.

download this exact version. NBC Gold works through the NBC Sports app. No need for NBC Gold as a stand-alone.

Ahhh I see. It could well be the version you're running. Like I said I had NBC Gold months ago and it's been running strong. Best to not upgrade past 4.0 then!

I have the same version on my firestick with ip vanish and its still giving errors out for me,Everything will load up untill play back,I have read some reviews that some people on firestick and roku are having the same issues,Are you useing the old firestick or the new one

How bizarre! I'm using a 4K and a 3rd Gen.

Thats what might be the issue for me because mine is 1st gen but i will keep trying,I have put the nbc app on and cnbc app on and everthing will load untill playback,only short clips will play on all three apps

Sideloading apk what is on places like aptoide.

Even directly download the apk on fire stick and still no luck.

Like I said mate seems not possible to get your version apk anymore on fire stick. As different versions available just dont work.

Tried that one you gave mate but no luck.

Gutted tbh really wanted it to work on fire stick. Watching on mobile is crap.
