Would switching from talktalk to $ky broadband affect my openbox?

can't believe there is still people in this world still on talktalk, officially the worst internet provider ever.

SKY have invested a lot in their network to support Fibre.
TalkTalk spend 1p year on their network.
You will find, lower latency, stable connections, less drops on SKY.

My Oldman is on talktalk I'm on sky with same provider. The issues he has compared to me is shocking. Jump ship asap

there all on openreach network apart from virgin who have there own ibet your old man has about 5 phone socket and u have 1

Nope I have him plugged into mains no other socket in use. Customer service shite 2

but they will be still connected does his internet drop all the time and slow probally star wiring

This star wiring thing you said. Would there be any kind of fix without a full rewire

No full rewire it will come in from house and split master socket 1 room extension other u need to cut extension wire in where splits or at master all wires plugged in to main
