Openbox V8s not connecting to internet

Thanks guy finally got it working with the usb pen, I had sky multi room can i just buy another openbox and connect it up the way you would with a sky box?
 
Hi there, I am having the exact Same problem, except youporn/YouTube app doesn't work neither does the weather channel, I have tried a couple trial clines and all are saying offline, changing to login and offline again, I have done everything in this thread (and many others) don't know what to do.

My box was working fine a few weeks ago, but now I only have fta channels, the rest are scrambled.
 
Did the original poster get the V8s box working? I've tried everything to get mine working with plusnet broadband and no joy so i'm at a loss? Anyone any ideas?
 
I've finally got mine working, turns out my server was down, tried 3 new ones, and the 3rd one worked. Seems I need a new 'gift' need recommendations now for new Servers
 
V8 not connecting to internet following factory reset

Hi

I've got two v8 boxes and my cline can be used in three boxes at the same address. Both boxes were working fine until last week, one is still fine, the other one (since i reset to factory settings) is not connecting to internet any more, wired or wifi. Any idea?​

I have one of these V8S boxes. I have plugged a working ethernet cable in to it, but I dont seem to have the weather thing working, am I connected to the internet? How can I check? The lights on the back of the box work, and the internet in 100% working. I am with Virgin. Do I need to change any router settings?
I dont have a 'gift' (Cline etc) and am just using it as a free sat box for now. It should still connect to the internet though, shouldnt it?

Weather app won't work. Press Menu, Local Network Setting, Update By Network, Connect.

if you DONT get a http error, then you're connected to the Internet.
 
I am having the same problem, however I have been in touch with my gift provider and he says no problems at his end - any advice?
 
Same issue as above...I can update over network so internet is there but channels stuck on scrambled. The same line works fine on a zgemma which is odd. Any ideas?
 
Hi Guys, I've just started having the same problem, but mine is a little stranger because it's not a problem during the day, just it the evening. Did anyone ever find a fix for this? Cheers

Maybe its just for one box feed & not a multiroom sub?
