Scrambled channels on Openbox v5s problems?

Hi

I've just purchased a box yesterday and set it up, Updated the firmware first, added ccline, then the channel list.

However I'm getting channel scrambled on different ones and some are coming on then saying scrambled a few mins later. Boxnation is one, box office channels and some are saying Invalid Channel etc...

Any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated.

If channels are scrambling after a few minutes could be you internet or could be a bad cline provider,

boxnation HD only works at weekends if it is standard it should not unless your cline provider doesnt give that channel.

invalid channels are ones that have moved, if you have ajs latest list that shouldnt be the case tho.
 
Im getting the sound for Boxnation but no picture,

Yeah on Aj's latest list, and did the full scan last night for all the channels and things which took about 15-20 mins.

Im on one of them Plug Wireless to Ethernet things, could it be that you think? I will try it this evening with a hard line Ethernet direct
 
if your getting sound no picture you need to update to the latest firmware,

no homeplugs should work perfect mine do
 
Could I just check, it should be this Firmware? SKYBOX F3S F5S 130704?

This is the one I used. I'll go back to factory settings tonight and try it again.

if you hav egot a skybox f5s or f3s it shoud be SKYBOX_F3S_F5S_3601HD_CMT_13102406AE.abs thats the latest firmware.
 
Just had this off the cline provider, does this mean anything to you? "just checked on the server for the ecm times and your very very high on there. if your using a wifi connection you be better off hardwiring it"
 
if your using homeplugs that is basicly hardwiring. not too sure about the ECM thing tho sorry.

try updating to latest firmware that should sort it out.

That firmware is almost a year old. There have been 6 new firmwares released since then.

The latest firmware is in the downloads section:-

It was one the skybox.cc site as 20144111549770265 listed as SKYBOX F3S F5S 140411 Fix BUG

For some reason skybox.cc removed a lot of the latest firmware a few days ago.

I don't know whether it's a glitch or whether it was done intentionally.

Luckily, the latest firmware is in the downloads anyway.

btw...to check whether you have the latest firmware, the information page on the box should show 3601HD_10_04_2014_0670

ROFL Thought i was going crazy then Kremmen when i saw your post haha was sure i put the latest from the site
 
My old mans had the skybox f5 for about five months with no problems... lastnight it went scrambled, server kept flashing offline/login ... as this was the second problem in a week we decided to move to another server..... we have now discovered the box is at fault...some channels are clearing, but many are showing scrambled.... its a mix of H and V channels showing. weve swapped things around to test and its deffinatly the box..tried a factory reset thing.same problem..

anyone have any ideas why this could suddenly happen and why some channels would clear but not others ??? im all confused :(
 
I have noticed if you go on an HD channel that no longer works or porn channels it starts to lock up the openbox or you get scrambled or invalid channel on the sd channels. Reboot the openbox and it works fine again. I have tried a number of openboxes v5s and skybox f5s they all do it. It must be a firmware issue as there has been no firmware update since the lose of HD!!! The cams stop working for some reason.
Just a heads up if anyone is getting this problem.

It does seem to be a firmware problem Noticed several times after updating lists If you do a second reboot works ok
 
tried a load of reboots and it still wasnt working....did the resets and everything.....so i left it all disconnected over night , thought id give one last try before i order another one, and now its working just fine... glad i waited and didnt just rush and buy one. :) so not sure if it was leaving it off that fixed it, or the hefty wack i gave it out of frustration... if in doubt give it a clout, thats my motto.
 
Thanks for this. I just got my box yesterday updated off their site and have same issues thought it was broke. I'll get the correct firmware on and see how I get on.
