Skybox F5s firmware

Newbie here. How do I apply the latest firmware to my skybox f5s? Do i need to unzip it before putting it on a usb stick or will the box read the rar file?

Unzip then drag it onto your usb

How To Upgrade Firmware

1 - Formatted USB to Fat32, Put your Image File onto your USB & plug into your Box.
2 - Switch Your Skybox ON.
3 - Select menu on your remote, Use the Left & Right arrow keys & go to Tools, Press OK.
4 - Use the Up & Down arrow keys on remote & go to Upgrade by USB, Press OK.
5 - Now select Image Mode, Go down to Keeping DBS & Settings & Select "No"
6 - Go to Start & Press OK.it will now load the Firmware & ask you to confirm, Press OK.
7 - It will now load the Firmare & Reboot your Box.
8 - Your new firmware should now be Installed.

Bump. Could somebody please answer this question as I would like to know before attempting to update the firmware.

Keep DBS and Settings make sure that says yes, that will keep all the important stuff.

You should, as a matter of course, keep a full backup in case something goes wrong in the future. At least you could restore to your backup.

Bluoon,how did you take the backup? Also do we need to select yes or no for DBS and settings?

Take a back up by dump by usb select what you need to dump keep copy on your comp And yes for DBS settings

When you select upgrade on firmware and start it you get a pop up screen with it on
